Description
invested too much on these characters, time I did some recap as not to skip some general facts when people need them eh? *slapped*uvu tbh Im really satisfied with myself with this pic, this turned out looking nice, I like what I done here really much.
Any who, here comes the fun part, symbolism explanation time!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All of you would know that Ira is technically 'dead' and he has no real living body, his soul is bounded to the sword and is only 'staying alive' because of his vast quantity of mana. Because of this, Ira's body or rather the container to hold his soul is currently the sword, and like a person with normal body, he would die too if his current body is destroyed. Despite being such an important item, Ira still lets Mavis use it as her weapon. Mavis understands the consequences and that's why she never lets anyone take her weapon from her, always keeping it in her reach and would frantically search for it if it got lost.
No it doesn't normally glow out of synch with the other, this is just to show you guys purposes only lol.
Anyway, Contractors are special in a way that they all have their own Contracts. A Contract is a normally intangible magical force, it's part of a Contractor's soul in a way so it's insanely hard to strip their Contracts from them. When a person first becomes a Contractor they will get their very own Contract, the Contract will be 'in' their bodies, not in the physical sense though lol.
Normally the Contracts would be sealed somewhere around the Contractor's throat, Mavis on the other hand being the social awkward she is, ended up with her Contract in her left eye because of uncommon circumstances when she first became a Contractor. 8'D
Ira used to have this habit of crafting armors for every special occasion happening in his life, the final craft he made before he 'died', was for his daughter becoming a full fledged Contractor. Mavis for good or worst resembles her a lot in exterior. That's not all though, the armor is here too because since it's the embodiment of the last craft Ira finished working on last time. Having Mavis here wear it, she is also represented as the last 'craft' Ira will work on.
Mavis collects flowers, though disguised as a research hobby, these flowers she collects actually represent the events that are happening around her when she found it and her feelings. Those flowers here are an indication what values are currently important or going through Mavis' mind.
Gladiolus, funnily this flower has long been in line for anything plant related to Mavis.
Currently for this pic, it means strength of character and faithfulness which with what she's going through, it's the only thing she's clinging on to to keep her from going overboard.
Lisianthus, it means appreciation, which sure it may not be a good idea to let her run away into the woods to wrestle bears in the first place but she does greatly appreciate that the people who might stop her from going understands and lets her do what she needs to do without much questions.
These I placed right next to the flowers because they influence the previous aspect. Specter and Traize, these people are the ones who she hold closest to her other than Ira, it might not be very obvious but they influence her thoughts and actions a lot. She would do anything to keep her promises and stick with them even if it costs an arm or a leg.
Representation of events and everything she treasures, the pages are flying out because she feels that everything she cares for are just disappearing one by one, page by page. She wants to do something to get them back, but she doesn't know how, which causes her much frustration.
Mirrors always were linked to Mavis' insecurities, with recent events there's a lot she feels insecure about whether it be about herself or her surroundings. Mirrors also reflect the other side of the story, the one which has been going in the background, the negative side.
---------------------------------------------------------------
And that's about it, |D I don't think I missed anything...hopefully lol. :icomsotiredplz: If any questions, feel free to ask.
