Ira died by having a sword stabbed through his heart during the war of the gods. As his real body rotted away some 1000 years ago, his soul managed to keep alive in the very same sword that killed him, living far over his race's average lifespan thanks to his huge mana storage and coincidentally the sword's soul retaining rune metal. During his self-confinement, he thought about everything that had happened around him; all his conquests, his losses, his pride, his grief, the more he thought the more he started to link things together. At times he wondered if he should just silently vanish from this chaotic spiral of a world and into the dark void that is death, like his comrades before him, but every time his moral ‘peace, honor and family’ steered him away from the thought and gradually, it rarely resurfaced when he became Mavis’ contractor. Ever since then, he just wants to be alive to protect his contract holder and see the end to this conflict.

but anyway, this is one of those symbolic pictures since Ira's just a suit of armor at the moment and there is no way that he still has his human body in there. =w=;;a The armor you see is just a replacement body he made using his mana molding and he just transplants his soul from the sword he is in into the armor to move around as he pleases.

o3o and I am really quite happy at the lighting and how the blood work came out
