Description

Bread is an important food source for most of the races in Aeon and the Common Loaf is the most abundant of them all. They bear such an important role in society that its production is highly regulated throughout the world with the intention that the lowest commoner class is able to afford them. All common loaves are roughly around 30 cm in diameter and have the fixed price of 5c per loaf. It sounds hollow when knocked on and the crust is tough but the crumb on the inside has a nicely dense and spongy texture.

Each loaf is made of a mix of wheat, rye and oat flour, with ratios varying according to the region; sometimes other kinds of flour is used when there is a shortage of the main three. The color of the crumb is usually a shade of brown and never white or made wholly of wheat like the more expensive breads.
