Man, I should break out my prismacolors more often XDNot sure if this piece is done, but for now I'm happy with it, so I'll call it finished.

I think I saw a sparkly, dreadlock-y fantasy helmet somewhere that inspired me, but, yeah, pretty much my own idea. :3 The two guys in helmets I just uploaded were drawn at about the same time. I want to go skateboarding in some of those helmets...

However I think you should add to it some background. It would look much better with at least black or deep green. Don't you think?

I'm torn... I'm in the place where I like it so much that I'm afraid to touch it.
Perhaps, though, I'll play around in photoshop, and see what it looks like with different colored backgrounds. Then I can see it and decide if I want to do anything to the original.

Ah, so now I get to see the picture in all its full glory! Even though it's not done, I think it could pass as a finished work. And you did all that in Prismacolors? I'm not very good when it comes to markers, but they're kind of fun to use, aren't they?

um... they were pencils, and not markers (but I've seen a lot of pictures using the markers and I'm very intrigued). I really like the way these pencils blend, but, boy, are they expeeeensive. O_O
And, yeah, I think it's done, purely because I haven't worked on it in over two years.

Yes, I have. My picture "L vs Banana Split" was done with those markers. Let's just say I have a lot of practicing to do.

Well, I think that it looks like it could be finished. It looks beautiful as it is. I'd be worried about over-working it and losing some of the dramatic power it has. If you give it a background the image won't pop out as much. But that's just my opinion.
Perhaps you should explore this theme in different pieces? I can totally see this as a series.

I've been working on a red lady. She's not quite as fantastic, but I'm hoping to get some inspiration on her real fast. I was thinking of working in different colors for each piece-- but of course, I could use the same colors and different elves.
