Judas gave a long yawn before giving a lazy look, smacking his lips playfully at Avigail, but at the same time, trying to annoy her to attention or amuse himself. They had been traveling for a long time. Four days in fact. When he had been a lot younger, he use to love going so far. But now with his litter of cubs and taking on the position of silver hunter, he became worried when he left the city for long periods of time. He knew it was good to get out though, so he still enjoyed traveling immensely, and tried to push his worries in the back of his mind. He rolled against Romulus as the human slept in the back of the cart with them. The boy was never much of a morning person. After a while, Master would wake him up and make him drink some kind of concoction to perk him up. It still amused Judas that Romulus slept so hard. He would move the boy's limp arms and legs around like a young cub. Judas was feeling a bit playful, or maybe it was him being stir-crazy from not having much to do except growl at a few shadow empire cats that stared after the cart from a distance. It wasn't a side of him that most cats got to see.

Grace-Winters
Avigail was curled up against Judas, snoozing away when the sound of loud lick-smacking came right next to her ear. Thinking it Levi or Lilika, she grumbled something like 'go back to sleep' in her sleep, but it was muffled and mixed with an annoyed growl. The warm, furry body she was happily snuggled with turned over though, and she tried to ignore it. Try as she might, she suddenly missed the warmth. She sleepily opened her green eyes, taking in the walls of the cart and remembering where they were. Rolling over onto her stomach, she looked to see if Judas was awake. Avigail had never traveled much since becoming a hunter, she did as a young feline but since then she mostly only went wherever her duties took her.

Judas had taken to peering over the side of the cart, looking up the road. He glanced down at Avigail as she rolled over. Romulus squirmed lightly, giving a small snore before the cart suddenly bumped jarringly over something and he fell over. The young man blinked sleepily but grabbed at the blade at his side, jerking up. "Are we being attacked??" The human called out before getting tapped lightly on the head by his father's switch.

"No, I ran over a rock. Or maybe it was a turtle.. Good to see you're awake, Rom. We're nearly at the city gates."

Grace-Winters
"Oh....Okay Father, well I was just being ready is all." Rom said. As he spoke, the cart jolted again. This time a red, furry, clouded leopard slid across the boards and slammed right into his side. He grunted slightly. Avigail let out a yelp of surprise at being tangled up against the human. Not that she minded him much as he was her owner's son, but she wasn't one to 'snuggle' with the humans. She felt Rom pat her head, and she turned her face away so he wouldn't see the annoyed expression on her face. I'm not your kitty cat pet, I'm a hunter! She thought, but held her tongue. Instead she climbed to her feet, putting her front paws over the front ledge of the cart and looking up at Judas. "We're almost there?" She asked, her gaze drifting down to the road ahead of them.

Judas gave Avigail a sympathetic look. He knew Rom really liked cats and attempted to interact with Avigial when he could to try to become friends with her. Judas was more apt to let the human touch and even hold him though, and neither of them really pressed Avigail to be more cuddly. The cheetahpard bent to lightly lick her on the muzzle. "Yea, we just passed a big sign for the city. We should be there soon. It will be nice if we get this trip over with soon so we can head home..."

Avigail smiled slightly at the lick that seemed to cheer her grumpy mood up. "Nice, I'm curious to see how the city has changed since I last came here. And I agree...But I'm sure Ven and Estelle are taking good care of Lilika and Levi." Avigail tried to reassure him. She figured he was just as worried about them as her. With her back turned to Rom she failed to notice him come up and sit behind her, seeming still intent on patting her. She allowed it this time, as it seemed to please the human and make him smile. She had no idea why humans liked touching their cat's fur so much, nor why it made them happy. But humans were weird, so she gave up trying to understand them.

Judas and Avigail depart from the city of Massilia on a short trip away for a few weeks from the city with their masters. Thought to be an easy little journey away from home, things do not go as planned...
