I'm Fine

Scout woke up that morning, feeling... Not good. Her body was changing again, wings forming on her back, starting small, then medium, then big. At the same time, her ear's changed, and her back felt odd, felt _wrong_ before she knew it her body was warm and a soft glow emitted from her magic glands. She looked over her shoulder to see a line of black glands along her back, magics glands...? They look familiar somehow, she thought, watching as they glowed. She felt suddenly weak, a wave of fatigue washing over her, she grimaced, her head was pounding.

Am I sick? What is wrong with me? She stopped using her magic, finding she felt slightly better when she stopped... Why? Without realizing it, she had bitten the inside of her cheek, and watched as black...blood? Oozed from her mouth, it dripped from her magic glands, traveling down her face and back. What is this? Why do I feel so tired? So weak? I can't let Cadence see this... The child had been through so much already, she couldn't give her more to worry about.

Scout quickly got up, grabbing a coat from her closet, she slipped it on, going to the sink to wash off the black stuff, luckily the flow seemed to stop by then. Just then Cadence walked into the bathroom, looking up. "Mommy you okay?" She asked, Scout felt everything but okay. She missed Katsu, she missed her so much, and now something was off with her magic, she felt weak and tired, sick, these large bat wings were hard to control, she kept bumping into the doorway. Yet, she forced a bright smile anyway, as she turned to her daughter, she loved Cadence too much to burden her. She needs me to be strong for her.

"I'm fine."

"Why don't we go read some magic books together?"

"Okay Mommy,"

Here's a flat reference of Scout w/ her coat for those who wanna draw her! The coat isn't gonna be permanent but it will stay on for awhile now. Your'll know when it comes off cause I'll draw her without it ^^.
