Ah, I get it. My exact process:

1) Idea
2) Rough Sketch
3) Lineart (darken lines by going over the sketch in pencil, but pressing harder)
4) Scan
5) Clean (my scanner tends to pick up every sinle stray mark and smudge left on the paper) *MS Paint
6) Color *MS Paint
7) Shade *MS Paint

Yep, pretty much.

It looks like you're using photoshop or something, it really does. Just out of curiosity, have you ever considered trying GIMP or one of those other free programs?

Now THAT I can't believe, dude! This is what Photoshop pictures look like: [link] I've tried GIMP, but I only really find merit in the smudge tool (and have decided to use it soley for stains from now on as you can see here [link] ).

It's just that your shading and lines are so smooth, I couldn't believe that it was done with MS Paint!

Yeah I've found that GIMP works better for photo manipulation. But there's a really neat freeware art program called FireAlpaca, it's a lot like PaintTool SAI, sans a few features. It does have a tool for manga speed lines though, which is pretty cool

It's just that I've been thinking of re-starting with Digital Work for a while...
But drawing with a tablet is a pain in the ass -.-;;
And your lines look so cool X'D
So I was kinda hoping that's what you did... It's given me more confidence!! XD
