I like sloth I have big soft spot for him. Personally I think heβs adorable. But I think the whole point was he was strong, fast and bomb proof and when pushed he goes all out and you could see the potential but he chose to be lazy. And when he died he smiled because he got what he wanted.Β

I love this sloth so much more then that girl from fma. Mostly because this one is strong yet lazy fitting the sin of sloth perfectly and nice coloring

Also, the association of the sin of sloth with water is an ancient one in Eastern tradition. The 2003 Anime did not simply make up that association up for no reason! Furthermore, it was again a literalization of the ancestral relationship between Tristitia and Acedia! Even the name of the human Sloth was transmuted from(Trisha) connects the two concepts within the 2003 Anime`s canon!Furthermore,Acedia(Sloth) is made of water and Ira(Wrath) is associated with fire, what do you get when you put the two together?Alcohol which in large doses can create the traits of both sins!(I.e. Sluggishness, impulsivity, apathy, temperamentalness, uncontrollable crying, laughing and screaming, paranoia, dependence, disconnection from reality and in extreme instances violent outbursts of rage).

Nightofcrows You believe that because you do not know the way in which the sin of Sloth developed,I,however, having been raised Roman Catholic,do so allow me to enlighten you. The modern conception of sloth as physical indolence is a remarkably modern view, actually! Needless to say, when the Seven Deadly Sins were first being conceptualized in medieval times they were not seen so literally. In fact, the seven we know today were made up of about 9 out of 13 similar sins composited together, the Seven Heavenly Virtues were constructed in a similar manner of course! Also,Acedia(Sloth) and Ira(Wrath) have a common root or "mother" sin,Tristitia(Crippling sorrow that makes one wish not to care about his or her own salvation or those of others).
