Description The very antithesis of the lightweight speedster that is PSYTRANCE Mode. Encased in thick composite plates, DUBSTEP Forte can plow through most light vehicle battalions with his bare hands and withstand all but the heaviest of artillery and aerial bombing.

Along with great defense comes great offense, in the form of a large triple-barreled plasma cannon. Much like Forte's original buster, the cannon can switch between two modes. One is a rapid-firing burst of projectiles designed for thinning out groups of lightly-armored units. The second is a single charged shot, made for crippling more heavily defended targets.

Having such incredible power and protection does not come without tradeoffs, however. The most apparent of these is a significant loss of agility. The drastic increase in mass makes it impossible to execute a double-jump. Also, the effectiveness of the ground dash ability is reduced, meaning that the distance Forte covers in a ground dash is cut by 25%. In addition, the armor is incompatible with the Gospel Boost flight adapter, as it is far too heavy for the adapter's propulsion systems.

Despite the drawbacks, DUBSTEP Mode is ideally suited for breaking through any sort of defensive line. Especially if Forte launches himself into one from a fast-moving vehicular platform!

This was the armor overhaul I had initially planned for the contest at Forte-FC, but set aside after I came up with PSYTRANCE Mode. Inspired by the Legiones Astartes (Space Marines) of Warhammer 40K, obviously. The black and gold would suggest he's one of the Black Legion, but he's not covered in horrifying trophies, distressing mutations, and signs of Chaos. I have been tempted to say this could be part of a universe called Warhammer 400XX, though the potential crossover would be a tad too depressing to take on beyond creating insane armor designs (like "Eldar" Zero, "Tau" X, "Necron" Forte, or "Nurgle Champion" Sigma [brr]).
