Description Round three of Photoshop goodness for "215X: The Neo Sentinels"!

Vulcan is one of the three creations of Dr. Ruzahn, a roboticist who studied the works of Dr. Wily as closely as other roboticists studied X. After spending many months examining the schematics of Bass and Treble, which he obtained by sifting through the ruins at the epicenter of The Awakening of Chaos, Dr. Ruzahn decided to create Reploids with the ability to "Boost." The result was three Reploid/Support Unit pairs: Ares/Sturm, Proteus/Draco, and Vulcan/Fenris.

While Ares and Proteus went off to join the Repliforce, Vulcan joined the Maverick Hunters, believing that there he would be more than just a number amidst the ranks. Indeed, for the first few weeks, he did stand out--as an object of ridicule. Being built for high speeds, Vulcan was a lightweight Reploid and significantly shorter than the average soldier, let alone the standard Class-A Hunter. And being activated only two months before joining the Hunters, his psychological matrix was extremely delicate (it still is, though somewhat strengthened by experience on the battlefield). Thus he was tormented and friendless...until he met Lazarus. Lazarus became like an older brother for Vulcan, and together they became Kali's trainees in the 0th Unit.

Perhaps by now you are wondering about the blue sword in his hand. It is a strange, ancient weapon known only as BlueBlade. BlueBlade was Dr. Ruzahn's family heirloom, passed down countless generations. However, there are no records of its origins and Dr. Ruzahn had no idea of how anyone in his family could have obtained such a sword. He couldn't even identify what the blade was made of, except that it was fairly light, practically unbreakable, and could withstand very high temperatures. Eventually Dr. Ruzahn gave up trying to analyze BlueBlade and left it somewhere to collect dust. One day, a rather curious Vulcan found the sword, which immediately began to give off a sapphire glow. It also proceeded to ignite the area that it was lying on, and would have probably burned the building down had Vulcan not taken it outside. He was quite surprised (and pleased, being a bit of a pyro) to find that BlueBlade set everything, except for him, on fire. Not only that, but the fires were always a brilliant blue. It wasn't long before Dr. Ruzahn smelled smoke and rushed outside to find Vulcan gleefully swiping at falling leaves with BlueBlade. Upon seeing the new behavior of the sword in Vulcan's hands, Dr. Ruzahn decided it would be best for Vulcan to keep it and put it to good use in the war against Mavericks--as soon as he got some proper sword training.

Cool armour design and story background! I feel sympathy for him, as being lightweight and fast, as well small ^^ And the fact that he has a kinda secret and powerful weapon add a lot to his personal interest and charm

Glad you like Vulcan. Seeing as most other Reploids were of average human height or taller and thinking like adults, I felt like switching it up with one who was closer to the size and mindset of a child. And then exploring the implications of sending him out to war. Makes for an interesting journey in character development.

Yes, indeed! Also his innocence serves to affect veteran Kali's views of the war with the Imperium.

Ya, it's pretty much inevitable when you have a bunch of different Reploids (or people) working as a team.

So, Vulcan's partially Forte's designs? That sure explains some things.

I supoose you're going to make a photo-shopped image of most of your characters from the 215X Neo Sentinel comic?
