I love the curved lines in this piece. They really make for an interesting look. The colors are very well chosen (as usual) and I like the strange sort of transparency you have to the red. It really makes this look more surreal. The distressed part around the plant is very well places and helps to make it an immediate focal point. I also like the contrast of detail in the leaves and woman compared to the surrounding buildings. Their photo-realistic quality is great. The almost surf board (intentional perhaps?) shape around the woman makes a nice subtle sort of arrow to direct you toward the plant. The red stripe to it is good too....the border would have been too plain without it.

the title makes me think of my friend allison
i recorded a song of hers recently, and we recorded in a sanctuary that seats about 5000. but it of course was dead empty. it was just us and a piano. during the piano takes i had nothing to do but be very very quiet (shhh! i'm wabbit huntin). so i laid quietly on my back on the stage and stared around the sanctuary. the light was pouring in the 300 ft tall stained glass windows on one side of the sanctuary, and out the others. during those few minutes of piano, i managed to forget that tomorrow was still coming. i forgot about all my homework, and all my worries, and was just consumed by the music. the song, You Come Running still gets to me every time i listen to it.

i love it. the colors, the use of space. it's incredible. my favorite thing about this is that it invokes so many moods. the girl is somewhat creepy and stagnant, while everything else around her is moving. great work

and then you wake up, gasping, lost...
but here, I never wake up... the girl at the bottom
in the shape like a knife... the knife is the waking,
the girl is the gasp... perpetually poised but never acting,

Fabulous color and motion. The center is great. This reminds me for some odd reason of Escher, maybe it was one of his building pictures, maybe its the limited color palette, I don't know. Really great though, as always

you ability to mix n match geometry at the drop of the hat astounds me but even more means that with myshort attention span I will never get bored when you keep dishing out amazing feats such as this. Very bold use of every element, natural, red, shape and stock, when you're dead and gone i hope when your brain is being dissected to figure out how its so great that it explodes/implodes and we will never understand. it's really late i should go to bed...

What a lively piece you created here after the rather static and melancholic last submissions. Which doesn't mean that this one lacks emotion, actually I feel like the concept of this piece is rather clear and graspable. At least the general idea.
She is lying there, intoxicated or not, but I think the plant is a hint and dreaming to forget. Or her mind is just travelling or tripping as the kaleidoscopic vision implies and finally finding clarity right in the middle of it.
Again I must say that this is techically very well done and composed. The different styles fit together and the colors are well chosen and the contrast between the red and the beige is interesting. Another 0_o for you
