Description
Finally got a shot of my newest project which as you can probably tell is an M14 DMR.Its a Tokyo marui base fitted with a G&P DMR stock, King arms Ras kit, Nikko sterling gold 3-9 x 40 scope and a fresh coat of krylon camo paint in the same scheme as my SPR.
Ignore the m4 flash hider as its a work in progress at the minute so its missing a few things namely a proper m14 flash hider (which is on its way) and some flip up scope covers.
Taken with a canon 500D with 18-55mm kitlens.

They supposedly prevent the rails snagging on things while still providing hand held grip.Β
However I fitted them purely for aesthetics.

Hmm the m14 the link takes me too isn't one of mine, although there are a bunch of mine in their gallery including the DMR's above...
I'm never really thrilled to hear about others passing my photos off as theirs (by the looks of it most of their images seem to be pulled randomly from the net) but theres not really much that can be done I imagine, I doubt they would remove them even if I asked them to.Β

Just take baby steps. I built this over a fair period of time adding bits here and there every now and then, the most expensive part was the optics almost everything else was second hand.

Sadly I don't even have friends that play or anywhere I could find second hand parts, NYC and their 'replica firearm' laws, and such.

Indeed, in Pennsylvania I have an airsoft sniper rifle sitting at my mother's house until I am able to return to get it.

This is awesome, very much reminds me of the MK11 MOD 0 from Battlefield 3.

Cheers, I was tempted to build a 7.62 SR25 style DMR like that in BF3 but building something using 5.56 size mags made more sense since I already had a stack of them.

I like the image, but I think I'd prefer to do a more thorough inspection and a field test of that M14 in person...I'll PM you my address, and you can FedEx it or whatever.
Awesome DMR setups.

Thanks,
Originally I wanted to go with a full length barrel but most of the games/events I attend are played in dense woodland or an urban setting so in the end the shorter length barrel made more practical sense.

Ah, yeah, I've always gotta get behind somebody when space gets tight. I've got the short outer barrel, I just need to get up the motivation to buy a short inner barrel for it.

I'd be the same and usually stack up near the back, although I'd usually buddy up with a team mate of mine who is pretty god like with a bolt action and give him a bit of medium range support.

That sounds like a pretty good time. I'm the closest thing we've got to a dedicated marksman, and that's only when I carry the 14. God, I haven't played in months. I might actually subject myself to the cold this weekend and go.

Tis indeed a barrel of laughs, I haven't been out in a few months myself but only because of xmas commitments although my team, myself, and a contingent of mad Irish are heading over to the UK's biggest FIBUA training site in march to kick-ass and all that jazz.
I'll hopefully get some nice photos of the event too.
