its messy because photoshop froze and its 5am and i didnt have the energy to redraw what i lost properly. ill clean this up later if i get the chance~ive been thinking about these for a long while and figured i should post it (hopefully,,) in time forΒ riverspirit's contest !

Anguidon are an asexually reproducing eel like race. They are typically nocturnal, and perceive color a bit differently to most other sentient species. Their retractable, black fangs can induce a powerful venom, and their pharyngeal jaw helps them to swallow large or live food and may be used in place of their black fangs in a struggle when they dont want to envenom their target. A year on their homeworld Anuuilhos is roughly double the length of a year on earth, and their average lifespan is 110 of their own years. The planet has three moons and is predominantly ocean. The land that exists once had a wonderously diverse array of ecosystems and biomes, but it has been permanently scarred by the early stages of their developing civilization and internal conflicts. Relationships between more than two individuals is a fairly common sight amongst their society.

I have a few questions. Is it possible for them to have wings, and which kind could they have? Is it possible for them to have a regular hand, or is it some sort of mutation for them to have it?(the regular hand for the species now looks a bit weird to me plus I am still learning how to draw hand proportions) I am mainly curious about their hand anatomy.

they dont have wings biologically, no. but they are very technologically advanced, and capable of creating very realistically functioning prosthetics, so entirely new synthetic limbs arent out of the question. do with that information what you wish.

as far as hands go, my apologies, they dont get any less wierd or easier to draw. ive done some more rough references if that helps at all,Β Wierd Fish Hands.png Β
all that said, i wont stop you if you still want to draw one with natural wings or regular hands, even if i dont consider it, hm.. canon? to the species. and id still love to see whatever you make! just have fun with them buddy~
(and if youre ever having difficulty with hands in general i highly recommend taking pictures of your own in whatever angle or pose youre after. it does wonders, my god. why did it take me so long to figure that out??)

Thanks for the insight, I have a good idea of what I want to do for my character and I will keep the species normal hand that way I can learn different hand anatomies. I'll show you what I end up coming up with.Β
