I love the textures in this - how it feels like an engraving reproduced in an old book.

I'm struck by how Odd and Other the dragon looks! Well, if you look at the oldest Earthsea lore, I shouldn't be surprised. Good work!

One of the most original and evocative interpretations I've seen.

hacım ejder çok güzel olmuş, değişik olmuş... Ellerine saglik. Kaç kere çizdim bu sahneyi biliyor musun?
-bana güvenlik öneriyorsun, beni tehdit ediyorsun! Ne ile?

Amazing stuff. Love the lines.
One funny thing is that ejder in Swedish is a kind of a duck [link]

The image itself is very overpowering in the sense of the magnitude of the Dragon, the application of the texture is just perfect.
I have featured this im my Journal if that is ok..if not let me know..

Incredible. Great sense of scale, and I love the crease and the edge of the book, they embellish the ancient look already brought out by the color. The dragon is very interesting. I'd like to read those books again.

Excellent work!
was the work drawn on that paper, or was the paper a background texture added in later?

Well, I drew the original drawing by using a Lamy fountain pen on my standard Moleskine sketchbook. Also I collect old game cards, which I find randomly. I believe their omen and I admire the rugged texture on their surfaces. Afterwards I added the texture from one of those cards, near the end I played a little by using a Wacom Graphire drawing tablet and added some highlights and finished the work.

sounds good.
I like your philosophy about playing cards.
I feel similar about old stained books - Ive been scanning pages/ damaged hardback covers in to use as a texture in my work - but I havn't done much yet. I am very intrigued by old ephemera.

Beautiful work with the crosshatching, and I love the stylized background.
