He asks me to walk with him after school

I say yes

The girls all giggle whispering about relationships that will never be

I wave them off with a smile

Claiming that I'd rather die than be with that red headed wierdo

The bell rings

And my friends wish me luck

I tell them I don't need luck

He's waiting for me by the gate

His eyes never leaving

I wonder if he could see my blush from here

I look up at him unsure of what to do

It's been like this for two weeks

Since our little trist first began

He grabs my hand

And I holds onto his

I breathe a sigh of relief

For I feel that if I let go

He’ll leave me again

He says something and laughs

I smile, pretending I know what he’s talking about

We walk all the way to his house

And he asks me if I would like to come in

I say yes

He takes me into the kitchen and I trail after him

I look around at his house

And grin thinking of all the times I’d been here

He notices and asks me what’s wrong

I shake my head

It’s nothing, I reply

We go up to your room

And I can feel the anticipation build

We don’t really have anything to talk about

We both know why I am here

It starts out slowly like it always does

And I find myself melting in your arms

You’re careful just like always

You’re the only person who has ever treated me this way

I blush, you are the only person I’ve ever cared about this much
