Stumbled upon this DnB piece listening on YouTube : "Devotion" Dimension (Lyrics)
The term devotional came to mind. It is stressed quite a bit from professing Christians to devote time to studying the Bible. Something I often find myself taken away from by the cares of this world.
What does it mean to be devoted? My thoughts drifted once again this snake character, and the story I envisioned for him. Of feathers given to him by enemies turned allies, of jeweled bands of a romance to last a lifetime, of scriptures holding records of the past, of vesture bestowing the weight of responsibility - it is a thing I find too wonderful for me to comprehend how our hearts can hold devotion to things.
While drawn to foolish and hurtful lusts, I recall a passage.
"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." - Deuteronomy 6:5
