Description
The Romanian Atheneum, located downtown Bucharest is, for more than one hundred years, one of the most important cultural symbols of Romania. It was built between 1886-1888, the construction funds being raised at that time by public subscription. The project belongs to the french architect Albert Galleron who was assisted by several Romanian architects and engineers. The building is used mostly for symphonic concerts as well as other cultural events.
