Costume Contest for the Dream Breather Autumn Carnival !

Featuring: 017-S Sicorah

Inaya knew the costume contest would be perfect for Sicorah. She wasn't the best jumper and there was no way Inaya was letting her fragile mare play tag with the boys. Definitely not Cat... Besides, Inaya always wanted to play dress up but she was too tomboy-ish to do it herself. She always went as the lumberjack or the fireman rather than the nurse or the princess.
Inaya was always fond of the color blue. Sicorah's eyes were a lovely shade of a blue just like Inaya's. So she had to wear blue this year. And Sicorah could definitely pull the princess look. No way was she going to put a dress on her horse though. That was too far for both of them. She found some lovely sheer drapery and knew it would look so lovely in the wind against Sicorah's body.
That left Inaya some options for princesses....there was Cinderella...no, that wouldn't do. Inaya snapped her fingers together, "Jasmine!"
She collected the various jewelry she would need to pull a Disney Princess Jasmine look. From the brooches to the golden anklets.
She began to piece it together on her patient mare, Sicorah.
Sicorah wasn't nervous about the drapery fluttering around her. She knew Inaya was making her look pretty and she wouldn't do anything to harm her. In fact, Sicorah kind of fancied the golden bits. They were shiny and reflected the lights around her. She felt fancy and like royalty.
"You're my pretty girl," Inaya whispered. It kind of embarrassed her to dress up her horse so girly. But Sicorah looked so elegant. She kind of hoped the other boys (riders) didn't see her. She hated the teasing. Who cares if she doesn't really dress girly regularly? Sometimes she could just wear a dress or makeup. Who cared what they thought? Inaya did. She was dressing up her horse so Inaya could feel pretty through her. When Sicorah looks pretty...I feel pretty too...
Sicorah noticed the posture of her human change. It looked like she dampened like she was thinking of something bad. Sicorah nudged her lightly and breathed her Dream Breather breathe to her. It filled the stall with her sweet scent of chocolate covered oranges.
Inaya instantly smiled and got back to her work. She patted Sicorah's shoulder like she was thanking her.

**Later**

Inaya led Sicorah to a paddock that wasn't being used at the moment. The leaves had changed to their brilliant shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown. They looked really cool with the sun set in the background. Inaya was a little relieved knowing that the others were busy getting their own horses ready for the Halloween events going on. She got a few compliments on her way to the paddock and was relieved none of them regarded herself.
She let Sicorah go and she floated about the paddock. Sicorah showed off her moves she had been practicing: collecting, extending, lead changes, whatever felt good at the time. She loved the feel of the drapery floating along side her. It felt like the wind had come alive and was right at her side. She glanced over to Inaya and saw her smiling warmly while taking her picture.
Inaya's smile made Sicorah feel as warm as the soft glow of the setting sun.

YAY! Costume contest! So I love these kind of contests because the possibilities are endless and always so fun! So the challenged asked for autumn or Halloween-inspired themes and I went with a princes...I don't think that really fits the theme but I really wanted to do it anyway! No real reason I picked Jasmine other than I liked her outfit's color and accessories xD Whatev lolz I've had it partially done for a few days now but I got hung up on deciding a background. I didn't want to do the plain ol' green grass/blue sky. Not for a Halloween Costume Contest anyway! For sure, needed something autumn-y/Halloween-y xD So I went for a warm suset to play with her cool colored outfit! I really liked how it came out. I tried to better with the sheer drapery but didn't really succeed how I thought I would but well enough I left it alone lol
Anyway....ONE MORE ENTRY! Next is the Tag You're It with my boys: Cat and Brimstone! My new boy gets introduced! :'D I already have a sketch in mind xD
