Raws sighed, feeling the same old sand beneath her hooves. She heard Danek in front of her slow down and stop. She stopped as well. She lifted her head curiously, listening for signs of why he stopped.
Danek turned and looked at Raws by his side. She was a glorious looking mare with golden hair on her bay body. He smiled, "We'll get there eventually Raws, don't be so impatient."
Raws smiled too, "I'm not impatient but our team might be waiting on us! We were told that they don't have any endurance-type and I know the competition is coming up soon! Neither of us can fly so we're stuck on foot too. I'm worried we'll be late and what good is a team if they're late?"
"Pffft," Danek rolled his eyes, "We have weeks before the competition. We'll get there soon for sure!"
Raws and Danek began walking again. Raws still felt uneasy, "Do you think they'll want me on the team with my...condition?"
"What? Because you're blind? Raws, you lived in this desert you're entire life and can go almost two weeks without food OR water. You can peak 155 miles per hour which totally blows my 140 out of the water. You have amazing hearing and have been navigating the last eight years of your life without me here anyway. I know they'll take you without a second thought!"
Danek always knew how to make Raws feel better, "Thank you, Danek. What do you see?"
"Lots and lots and lots of sand!"
Raws laughed, "I can't wait to feel grass for the first time. You'll have to describe everything about it! I want details!"
Danek nuzzled Raws's forehead, "You got it, m'lady!"

Been a while since I based something! I love this couple and felt they needed to join the herd as well soon xD I have so many new characters that I'm going to start a second herd! Ah! Wish I knew when to stop on the characters....lol oh well.
