i'm not sad,i just got lost between start
and finish
and decided to sit down.
i'm not giving up,
i'm just so tired i don't
know how to walk anymore,
or talk anymore.
i'm speaking in tongues
and pressing my fingernails
into my arms
trying to find my pulse.
i'm not dying
i'm just sick of reliving
the same day again and again.
my temperature's rising
because it's too hot in this
head for all of this air
to sit in here and boil.
i'm not looking for signs
where there aren't any trail-heads,
i'm not lost in my dreams
or dreaming for more.
i'm not counting the stars
just waiting for wishes,
i'm not missing you,
i'm just missing out.
i'm not sad,
i'm just trying to find my
way home,
and i think i lost my map.

This is really beautiful and very meaningful. I guess everyone who lost someone they cherished or love must come by a state of denial at one moment. It's never easy to get through with a calm head and attitude after a meaningful loss.

but denial is itself
it's own medicine, i think,
just not one to be taken for
long periods of time.
