I really enjoyed the story and the way you told it, especially with the minimal amount of dialogue needed to explain the conversations being had.
Poor nick though, goes to show that often those with little themselves are more giving because they have a deeper understanding of what it is like to go without.

there is a time when you do reach a point in life where you realize that to be happy you don't need a big house and car and flashiest stuff to show how well off you are, it is often through the way you treat and help others that bring the most satisfaction.
And as is always the case, Less is more. Especially when it comes to conveying emotions and ideas, words can often just get in the way. It is as they say, a picture can say a thousand words.

(one thing I don't get, though, is why so many people misunderstand about how Nick lives and assume he lives in a hellhole. He makes $200 a day; that's $73,000 a year. He should have a nice apartment and car with that kind of money...unless the cost of living in Zootopia is astronomical. I know, I know, Judy found him under a bridge when she came back to Zootopia, but that was b/c all the preds were hiding out and Nick found a place where no one would bother him: that's why he was there, not b/c he lived there).

(Well the reason I portrayed it this way was because of some of the concept work that was released in the Art of Zootopia book, which showed a concept of what Nick's home looked like. It was kind of the pits. So I drew based off of that. but since that isn't necessarily canon, he could live like wherever.

This makes me wonder where Nick actually lives. I've seen a few people suggest that he lives under that bridge, but I feel like he probably lives in that building that we see him melt the jumbo pop on. Anyways, nice piece art. I really like it.
