Episode 9: Aquawomen Assult

SOMEWHERE...in the Seven Seas,

  A group of flat stones laid across the blue waves against the clear blue skies, each withholding against the elements and it's various creatures throughout the ages, all are testaments for not just the creatures who swim inhabited these waters...but for the complex history of Atlantis...especially for the battle yet to erupt.

  As on one of these very plates of earth, was a Atlantean woman kneeling against the crashing waves, breathing in and out slowly as the wind blew against her massive royal red locks, as long as a squid's tentacle but red as her fury, contasting against her glisterring sleeveless emerald scale swimsuit, with fin-like protrusions on the back of her legs, and her fair bare arms garbbed and flexed with golden bracelets. This was no Atlantean woman...she was Queen Mera, The one and only Queen of Atlantis...well that WAS the case...but there was still a reason she kneeled there, as suddenly, she slowly opened her eyes to see a swarm of bubbles rising from the surface of the wild waves, and she grimaced, knowing all too well who would come here.

  "No need for suprises, pretender...best you reveal yourself....Marella."

  And with that, a splash of water erupted from the bubbles, and out from the water sprout...came another Atlantean woman, who landed way behind Mera with a loud "blam!" almost shaking the arena Mera was on, although Mera wasn't too impressed, as slowly the newcomer lifted herself up from her landing.

  If anything when compared side by side, the newcomer almost looked like a alternate mirror of Mera in regelia or royal lineage.

  That said, while Mera was fully clothed except for her bare chest and neck, this other Atlantean woman, with skin as brown as coral, was garbbed in something like a Arabian dancer, her chest, as big and busty as Mera, was covered up by a golden-scaly bra-like armor, her legs covered by golden boots, surrounded by a see-through blue-skirt, shining like a jellyfish under the sun while covering her thighs and golden shorts and held up by a golden buckle below her mid-driff, while having larger golden bracelets with dark blades protruding from the sides, and unlike Mera's massive red locks, Marella had a equally thick and long hairdo, but as dark as the ocean depths themselves...for she was not a pretender, not a duplicate.

  She was Marella, the other Queen of Atlantis...the one before Mera herself...and she too wasn't happy with the red-headed queen, as both queens, with crowns shining under the sun, began to engage in a staredown, slowly walking across the arena.

  "That is QUEEN Marella to you, Xebel girl, but perhaps years under pressure made you forgot your place...because your weak reign is over!" Marella said, eyes and tongue as sharp as a barracuda.

  "Oh please, Atlantean pretender, I may had issues with Arthur, but he was MY Husband...and you DARE to steal him while I was recovering...you have no RIGHT to steal my throne!" Mera fired back, her tongue as vicious as a shark.

  Mera and Marella then stopped and proceeded to walk slowly each other, their hands beginning to twitch and move.

  "Funny...as if Xebellian woman are worthy for the Atlantis's throne...but who am I kidding, between us aquawomen, Arthur didn't mean sharing the bed with me that night...after all, I'm the true Queen to Atlantis, just like my mother over yours."

  Mera winced in anger, knowing all too well what her opponent was talking about. In fact, this arena itself had a history with their family lines, and it was one that she hid, despite Arthur's own secrets with the others.

Long ago, before she was trained to assassinate the future king of Atlantis, her mother, a fierce general during Xebel's glory days would have tried to overthrow the current ruler, Marella's mother, who was like her in every way, to a trial by combat to set Xebel free...only for their mothers to die by each other's hands, marring each other's beauty slowly before they breathed their final breaths, the young Mera and Marella locked eyes...and would swore revenge on each other. But contrary to sleezy tabloids of the surface world or propaganda of the many sections of Atlantis, Mera didn't have any problem with Marella's skin nor nationality, it was a historical trouble...while she had other women who wanted Arthur, either Diana by accident or especially the jungle girl Ya'wara, who she didn't like due to being Arthur's first love...Marella on the other hand, was a complete different but more personal issue. While during that time, she did had problems with Arthur over familiar duties, and she and Arthur split for a while...after calming herself down, she would come back to see Arthur in bed with Marella herself, cooing Arthur as if she was her lover instead, made even more insulting that she was supposed to be Arthur's bride to be during his discovery of his birthright.

Since the outrage, many battles erupted between the two parties, the supporters for Mera, and the supporters of Marella, clashing in a battle of swords, rifles, teeth and bodily harm, spilling the seven seas with Atlantean blood unbeknowst to the Justice League, Avengers or any other groups, while Arthur and her friend Namora tried to keep the peace...it was clear it had to come to this...a trial by combat...the day where the seas began to rise as two queens both alike in grace and fury will battle with tooth, nail, hair, and of course the ocean to see who would have the title of Atlantis's true Queen...a age-old tradition long unused...until now, where only one winner stands over the loser, and the loser has to be banished...or worse executed.

And after months of training in fighting and dancing, as well as lots of beauty care in their massive hairdos...the day was set, as both Queens began to recite the rules, slowly walking towards each other, cheasts out as they locked eyes, gritted teeth and began to summon the ocean's waves to their aid

Me: "Winner takes all...no outside help..."

Ma: "And loser gets punished by the winner's request...."

Both: "You're on...sister."

And with that, with the battle for the throne of Atlantis begins

THE OCEAN GRAY WAVES ARE RAGING ON! LET'S GET IT ON!

  Both began to mirror each other's dance-like gestures, waving their hands about as their feet slide against the rocky ground, their hands beginning to manifest droplets of water as they began to do a "dance" trying to intmidate or "seduce" her opponent to land a first hit, while summoning the water around them as they swung their bellies, twist their hips and began to move their heads back and forth, trying to get up in her opponent's face as they circled each other, that is, until they can feel the water tingling around them, with each queen making their move by slowly dancing around and against each other, making their first contact by their faces and massive locks rubbing and mashing into her foe's own face and hairdo, eyes locked in disdain and contempt, as Mera wrapped one leg around Marella's own leg and skirt, while a hand touched and dug through Marella's thick mane, Marella gritted at the sudden contact by her redheaded rival, and slowly raised her hand against Mera's right arm in return, raising the ire of Mera as their crotches began to tingle against her foe's touch...and as they pushed back and forth like two sperm whales, the ocean's waves began to grow higher and higher by the signal of their rising hands, until they completely shadowed the two Atlanteans and the single arena both were in, but under the shades, their irises began to glow, with Mera's a tint of greenish-blue, and Marella a tint of brownish-red, and as they flicked their wrists down...The waves began to come straight at her foe!

SPLASH!!!!

  The once-rising waves dived with rage, going at a unnatural angle as they crashed into each other, exploding in a drizzle of saltwater on them, but it didn't stop the waves from coming, as they began to crossed through each other into amorphous projectiles at each queen, causing both Queens push each other back to the far ends of the arena, ready to splash away her opponent as sprouts of water began to form and morph from above to around them. Mera was the first to strike as she pulled her arms back and pushed it towards her dark-skinned opponents, sending two large beams of water at Marella, however, Marella twirled around one and manipulated the other to fire back at Mera, however Mera was quick enough to blast another water beam at the returned blast, the two water streams blasted into each other, creating a beam struggle between the two Atlantean Queens, their hands up and waving at her opponent, their big hair blow against the waves as each Queen tries to put her strength into the struggle, pushing and pulling as they struggled for dominance.

However, Marella smirked as with a wave of her right hand, she split her water beam to flank Mera at both sides, catching Mera off guard to be blasted away by Marella main water beam, sending her flying out of the arena...except Mera smiled as she waved her arms up to create a pillar of water to land on and to leap away, as she put her hands up, building up droplets of water...to form various spikes of water missiles and threw them at Marella, catching her raven-haired opponent by suprised as Marella began to dodge a few and form water balls to counteracted the spikes of water, exploding mid-collision across the air as Mera surfed through the air on one water spike and Marella creating a bouncepad of water to pounce at Mera among their water projectiles.

  Both Queens began to pull back a water-covered fist as they came upon each other mid-air, however, as both threw a punch, their hair flew like war banners, Mera quickly dodged Marella's right hook to come in with her own left hook, slamming Marella's head to the side as like fallen goddesses, both smash through the arena's edge...right below the ocean blues...

However, despite the heavy blow ringing in her head, Marella recovered quickly and using her powers, push Mera's body away from her own, and proceed to swim away into some nearby ruins, annoying Mera as she said.

"Really? swimming away this instant, come on Marella, you know your mother wouldn't approve it...let alone Arthur." She said smugly, and proceeded to dash towards the fleeing Marella. The two Queens swam through underwater ruins like racing dolphins or ravenous sharks, trying to give or make chase as Mera smash through several walls or gateways, while Marella dodged through cracks and holes...until she hid behind a wall, where Mera tried to punch it...only for Marella to disappeared into the dark....Mera looked around trying to see where Marella went through, with only the destroyed ruins and few fishes among the cold water as company.

  That is, until she felt something hot...and very big coming up from behind...and the smug voice of Marella

"Ready when you are...false siren."

and as Mera turned...was hit with what looked like a shape of a whale's tail, but Mera quickly recovered as she slammed into a nearby coral reef...only to see Marella, or rather Marella on top of a construct of the ancient and massive Livyatan, the watery construct diving in, intending to swallowed her whole. However, Mera quickly dodged out of the construct's gaping maw as she moved her hands about.

"If you're a Livyatan Rider...then this calls for...a Megalodan Rider."

And with those words, the water around her began to form into a large construct of the prehistoric shark itself, or rather a army of megalodans, where she leapt on it's head and with a pointed finger, it dived at Marella's charging Livyatan, who herself formed more Livyatans herself as both women charged at each other with furious delight as they screamed in unison.

"FOR ATLANTIS! CHARGE!!!"

The ocean roared in battle as their prehistoric constructed began to collide across the deep blue sea.
