The plays the thing for sure, but some some might be lost in translation or closer to truth depending on whose stilling the story at least, some insensitive and some controversial at best.

Civil War 2: Just because Carol and Monica formed the basis of the DrawVerse Civil War dosen't mean well....that studios WON'T try to cash in later on....albeit in the form of what if the MCU's later films took on the edge of the DCEU....thus making the in-universe Civil War 2 movie becoming the box office bomb equivalent to "Batman vs Superman"....and yes, there was a apprerant "Martha" moment somewhere, naturally Carol, Monica, Tony and Barry Allen all walked out of there, or flew out of there....it was that bad!(For some reason it gave Barry a panic attack)

Ben 10: While Super Alien Hero Buddies was the FIRST cartoon to show Ben's aliens....it didn't really got the source material right(much to Ben's dismay)....which says a lot when the aforementioned "TRUE STORY" Ben 10 Cartoon was more accurate in how Ben works than the Alien Buddies....albeit in that cartoon Ben was a redhead and his aliens were replaced with TONS of expies of "Alt-Him" Superheroes....oddly enough Corrin finds it quite amusing.(And yes this was a actual prototype artwork of Ben 10)

World War Kaiju: Way back then, when Godzilla and other kaijus were fresh on their minds, there WERE plans to do a Godzilla film....but was quickly scrapped knowing how....insensitive it was to portrayed the Big G as "Heroes" or "Protagonists".....thus instead, after the equally controversial but acclaimed watchmen came out, What was once the godzilla films would turn into World War Kaiju, with Godzilla being turned into Fatman/Ryujin, and well the rest was history, both the good and controversial down the line.
