Rey's first encounter and battle against Barris, while Ahsoka was fighting Talon

Yeah there's a reason I would retconned the whole Barris and Original Talon to being fully reformed....because well...it dosen't FLIPPING make sense, especially again no offense to the Barrisoka shippers, but knowing how one comments point out the whole "self-indulgent" kind of way the DrawVerse is(as much I hate to admit it) I honestly think it wouldn't make sense for Barris and Darth Talon(who the latter depises the Jedi) to fully join the Jedi, so the idea off Darth Talon more or less....influencing Barris's hatred for the Jedi as a Sith Lord of her own makes sense in a crossover wise(well compared to her and Cade skywalker or Kylo Ren) as a foil to Ahsoka and Rey's case

While Rey and Ahsoka has a relationship of trust and respect despite different ideals, Barris and Talon can be of trust, but also tension and rage as both are always trying to fully hurt each other in manipulation or the dark side unlike Rey and Ahsoka's battle being more battles of ideals, with the apprentice wanting to best their masters, with Talon controlling Barris's rage and Ahsoka giving Rey a sense of purpose or identity in the force.
So yeah the idea of them being a dark counterpart to Ahsoka and Rey just works.
