Brilliant OCs. If you'd like, I could "immortalise" these in my archive of the "official NWR fleet". I'll be working on the backstories much later, so no worry about that. I will credit you as character creator and backstory developer.

Why thank you. Can you help me on my OC's bios and backstories? This is what I have about them so far.Β
Robert: Fictitious sole surviving LNWR DX Goods. Hidden is storage by his faithful driver and fireman and their families until they heard about Sir Topham Hatt and willing to purchase him for light goods train.
Herbert: A new built one off Garratt ordered by Sir Topham Hatt for Banking duty at Gordon's Hill and also a goods engine for sharp curves lines in Sodor.
Joe: A USATC S160 engine on loan to the NWR and told stories of his service in WW2 In mainland Europe (You can choose which European nation that have S160s).
Dryaw Airfield: Bought by sir Topham Hatt for suburban trains and named to commemorate the RAF stationed at Dryaw Airfield during ww2.Β

I'll get back to you soon on my best ideas for each one but I'll give you a quick summary for now;
Robert checks out
Herbert could definitely be useful on one of the new lines I have planned.
Joe sounds like he could be a valuable addition to the L.C.D.B.M.H.R. (Lambrecht Coast & Docks Boston Memorial Heritage Rly.) that runs near my idea of Bigg Coty from tugs (fine tuning needed)
Dryaw Airfield: Since I'm plannng on having Squaddie, Travis, Eustace and 257 Squadron on Sodor, I think a new build could workout somewhere.
Again there is a lot of fine tuning being done as I'm integrating both new ideas, current YT series and making them all canon I have a lot more spaces to fill so those could work. I haven't really been working on the Archives as much because schoolhas started but I will get back into the rhythm soon so stay tuned for my next request and more info on those backstories.

Sounds like a plan. And Eustace and 257 Squadron? From the Dark Railway Series? On Sodor?Β

Haha, womdering if youd catch that. My story for the Dark Railwayis as follows.
After steam ends on BR, the railway is now restricted to being a "preservation line". In 1999, Mr. Otto Dark passes, BR is privatised into TOCs, and the Dark Preservation Line faces hard times. Mr. Zeke Dark (name from the wiki), the would be controller whom had instead went into the realm of business and corporate, had decided to close the railway for a while until a buyer for the engines could be found. He sheeted up each engine within Merecombe Sheds and locked up for 16 whole years. The line was no longer being maintenanced and was going to be closed soon. Pegasus, the NWR's "Ambassador" Railtour engine was pulling the final train ever to run on the line, until an accident in the rain had him slam into the shed doors, to find all the engines sheeted up.
Dame Emily Hatt (equivalent of Sir) heard the news and was both bewildered and in stitches. She had been planning to open a line on the eastern half of sodor (so-called Gothlands, as they were very dark and mostly forested) and thought the engines a perfect fit. But the repair of the engines and the new line would cost. Mr Dark found a donor in Mr. Xandre Darke (the e makes all the difference, lol ) an ivorian-irish man with a passion for steam engines, afros, and Sealand recognition. He had accumulated boatloads of money from his lifelong work as signalman and driver on the island, and was happy to open the line and become co-controller with Zeke and Dame Emily whom are the owners. Thus all the Dark Rly. Engines at the time of closing the preserved line now reside there.
The line runs from Vicarstown "Galen" Junction through the Gothlands, over Loey Machan and to Cregwir sheds (built with the same blueprints as merecombe) where it junctures with the N.S."N.C.V."H.R. (North Sodor "New Copley Valley" Heritage Line, anotjer joint. NWR-volunteer line where some or whoever survived from BRWS (being that simierski is making a new season, I'll have to see what will work or not.)

Did you get permission from dark dj and dcg12b for using their materials?

TheAnonymooseTmas In reply to drawing425 [2015-09-17 03:23:05 +0000 UTC]
Well tbh it's my canon, so as long as I'm crediting them as creator and backstory contributor, all I'm doing is making my version of what I think the engines backstory should be. I'm not writing a formal story about it, that was just my idea
π: 0 β©: 1
drawing425 In reply to TheAnonymooseTmas [2015-09-17 03:30:32 +0000 UTC]
Dark dj already has his own character's backstories. IDK about dcg12b. Are you doing this project as a biographer?Β

TheAnonymooseTmas In reply to drawing425 [2015-09-17 03:50:55 +0000 UTC]
No, the backstories are just engine bios. I made that story up as canon material for my archives thought it would be a good reason to include the characters on sodor.the whole story I told was my idea of what would happen that would brinng 257 and Eustace into my canon and so I could do a character archive on them.

In fact, I can email you the archives on google docs to show you. I have not started on character bios yet, so right now it is just a chart of each locomotive and their specs. The backstories (aka Ferroequinographies, as I call them) are basically
- how they got to the island/survival/their story
Later on I might make stories of my own based on my canon as I see it, but right now I'm just doing "character cards" if you will.

Anyway. Any more characters for me to draw?

Lol, you and me both! Phew. Well yes soon but I've been a bit of a slacker with school starting, me playing console games and such. My birthday is Saturday so I might request a new OC soon this weekend-ish. I have had a certain taste for this CBCPP Brasilian saddletank, but I'm still working out a name and backstory.

In fact I just thought of one character for you to draw - the newly leaked season 19 tram looking engine - Phillip - his photo and basis should be on the TTTE wiki.

I heard of him today. Still waiting for the episode featuring him and then draw him. Well, depends on the vote of other deviants who like to see a tv series character in sprite.Β

Indeed, wait all you prefer. Personally I'm not a big fan of just magically coming up with new backstories and data tables for the archives because new characters are brought into the show, but I make myself do it for reasons unknown. Nothing more that I hate than wrtiers just finding a basis and bringing them into the series like they are in regular use. It'd be nice if brenner brought in Barrow and some of the diesels they actually use, so it would be easy and more realistic that they would come to the island.

Well that locomotive you mentioned is based on an ETS model train Garratt:Β www.ets-trains.com/en/locomotiβ¦
A Garratt is a type of articulated locomotive invented by British engineer Herbert William Garratt of Beyer Peacock Co. in Manchester. A three set articulated locomotive with bogies that help negotiate tight curves and steep gradients. Two sets of wheels underneath the water and coal bunker. The water in front of the boiler and the coal bunker behind the cab. These locomotives operated in countries like Africa, South Asia, Australia, South America, ans parts of Europe, especially Britain. Except North America because North America already standardized the Mallet articulated locomotives. The largest Garratt that still exist and is in operational service in preservation is Australia's New South Wales Government Railway (NSWGR) AD6029 City of Canberra Beyer Garratt. Restored in working order on Feburary 2014, and named City of Canberra in 2015. Here's a wiki page about the the Garratt:Β en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AD6029
I have a sprite sheet that has Beyer Garratts that operated in the UK called "British Beyer Garratt". You can check it out in my sprite gallery.
