They're not criminals, just over bearing fans that look up to Marnie, like team skull, they're bad but not flat out evil

They're just plain bad, but not evil. The criminal organizations in the past like Team Rocket, Team Magma, Team Aqua and Team Galactic are evil. Team Yell and also Team Skull from the previous generation are not really evil. Right?Β

Yeah, team skull didn't have that big an ambition, the aether foundation was the real evil organisation. So something will be the real deal, besides, why would they show the villains this early?

So far, they started using "Team" for the more neutral organizations and less on the real evil organizations lately on the Pokemon games probably since Generation 7. The evil real organization in Sword & Shield probably won't uses "Team" or even "Gang" in their name.

It haven't confirmed yet if she's evil or not or going be a villain. Also haven't confirmed yet that she's a member or even the leader of the Sword and Shield's own criminal organization, Team Yell who also acted as her fan club. Yeah, the trailer shows what seems to be a scene of her catching them in a PokΓ©mon center and telling them off for their shenanigans... if anything, Bede looks like he might be a true antagonist, or maybe just a jerk.

Fans like them could blemish her reputation and other people probably be accused her of influencing people likes them.
