Description It appears like an original.. BUT it isn't!

I made this image inspired by great artists of the 1300.
The image is used for a very famous historical rievocation in Narni ( Umbria- Italy)

I've worked for 1 month for realize this after a really hard work and research for a correct form and style of rappresentation.
The image is made with Corel Painter X and Wacom Intuos 1700.

thanks

It has been hard to find the right reproduction of the style of 1300.
The construction of the body and the entire image is based on a specific researching of geometrical meaning.

The composition of the pieces of the great artists of that era are so exhaustive and complex processes that they are a science outside of the art itself. I saw a 2 hour documentary about a triptych (3 different paintings creating one piece) of the artist Paolo Ucello. It is called Battle of San Romano. You might know him more then I but If you don't it is worth checking the piece I mentioned and the particularities of it's composition The techniques used and mathematics of elements colors etc etc stunned me. It's a shame that today the 3 part making the complete work are in three different museums who all restored it with different techniques making many of the effect fail and also it prevents the viewers of seeing the miracle completely

yes, I know him very well.
As you said, the artist of that period where not only simple artists but "khnew every thing at all" we call them in Italy "Tuttologi" (every kind of things at all)

Paolo Uccello was one of them.. On the 1600 there was enother great one (also Leonardo of course..) but it was another one who did things before the surrealism on the 900'.. His name was Hyeronimus Bosch.
