I pity Longtail. Here are why:
First, his color.
He wasn't confirmed a cat with a long tail UNTIL. THIS. YEAR.) erinhunter.katecary.co.uk/blog⦠) And Into the Wild was out at 2003 and I was... a year old...
He was drawn as a Pikachu cat (ugh), which is cream with black stripes.
He is then confirmed gray, then to brown recently.
I think brown makes sense more, although I can never get used to it, because his mother, Robinwing, is brown.
Wait, never mind! I forgot that genetics are forbidden in Warriors!!!
Second, his... skills.
Seriously, beaten by a 6 month old kitten who just hunted, like, two or three times in his life?
....
Third, his friendship.
Longtail wanted to be cool... so he hung out with Darkstripe and Tigerclaw.
But then they turn out to be evil, which leaves him lonely ;-;
Last, his elderly life.
It must be humiliating to be blinded by a bunny, not like in a battle.
And he's then killed by a random tree. (yes I had spoilers)

Longtail babe, I suppose if anyone asked how Rusty beat him, the Erins would say that StarClan helped him or something. I personally don't like StarClan.

I've never really liked Longtail but he was seriously abused as a character, I mean its still really unclear of what he actually looks like, I personally imagined him as a grey tabby with blue eyes but idk what he is anymore >< And yeah his backstory is so pathetically sad and shameful I can't help but face palm.

I personally love Warriors' hierarchy and naming system, but I hate how there are so many stupid mistakes. xP It's sad how it makes me not want to draw Longtail much as I can.

I totally agree, Longtail was always getting the short end of the stick. He's my favorite; I always saw him as a pale grey cat with blue eyes...UGH I'M NOT CHANGING IT BECAUSE THE ERIN'S CAN'T KEEP TRACK OF THEIR CHARACTERS.
That's one of the most IMPORTANT things as an artist (writer or illustrator).

Longtail was annoying sometimes but he was cool in my opinion. And he has a huge fandom for a non-major character, like Runningwind!
And I despise the Erins' skills so much, if I were them I would just set a character from the start and start writing a story. I don't know why I like Warriors anymore, I just can't stop drawing em

Eh. Long tail's life is pretty sad. I'm wondering why they didn't reincarnate Longtail like they did for Cinderpelt to Cinderheart. (SPOILERS)
He'd randomly got killed by a tree, which COULD have been taken into account, but people ignored his death and were like: MEH, HE DED. OH WELL... OH, HI CINDERPELT!)
I think its because he'd bullied Firestar and people thought of him like an asshole. Scratched by a bunny? I honestly never knew rabbits had claws deep enough to blind lol. It must've really wanted to live. People should make an AMV for Longtail or something, because now that I think of it, he had a pretty horrible life.Β Β

Maybe StarClan ramdomly picks a poor cat for reincarnation xD They should have reincarnated Sorreltail too. (I just looked up bunnies, so adorable!) Ugh, poor Longtail.

Lost both parents before becoming a warrior (Cinderpelt lost her dad), both brothers, (Cinderpelt lost none), and two of her kits (Cinder never got to be a warrior T.T) also got poisoned by Dirtstripe.

I personally prefer his cream and black (or 'pikachu cat') design, although IMO it looks strange when he's bright yellow with jarring black stripes, as cream tabbies irl are closer to white, with faint tabby stripes. Longtail has to be one of my favourite characters.

Yeah, he looked like one of those toyger cats, but they're still not completely cream, like Daisy is.

I think of Longtail as a kinda-tsundere. He did remove Firepaw's collar and saved him from drowning later c:

I didn't like how SSS changed his color, when they don't own that character. (although it was unclear what kind of tabby was he)

I love longtail and I like him better cream or grey, not really brown but that's my opinion
He was sort of interesting to me tbh
