The official reveal of my brand new character (and my fursona, meaning he actually represents me as a person), Aden! Designing him has been a long, daunting process, and certain aspects are still being developed (including his color palette and markings) as he is a complex character. I won't be sharing any spoilers, but this portrait might give you some hints!

No questions regarding him will be answered for now, but his official reference sheet/bio should be finished and uploaded within the next few days, so you shouldn't have to wait long. I will give you two important pieces of info right off the bat, though.

HIS GENDER:

Though he is technically genderless, he/him pronouns will be used for simplicity's sake and because it felt right to me as I was creating him.

Though I personally am female and use she/her pronouns, I am actually bigender. This means I randomly involuntarily switch between feeling male and female, and will alter my appearance/clothing accordingly for my own comfort (though this may not be obvious to others). I just typically keep this private and don't discuss it very often, because it doesn't really matter much, and I don't want to weird people out or have to explain it. I just am who I am! Aden sort of represents the concept of "it doesn't matter if I'm male or female".

HIS NAME:

There is a secret behind his name!

In case you didn't know, my username "K-Wo" is an abbreviation of my full name, Kayla Wolden. The first letters from my first and last name were mashed together to make K-Wo, and this was originally a nickname given to me by one of my good online friends. As you can see, it stuck!

So with Aden, I just mashed together the last letters! Kayla Wolden = Aden! I'm so clever, hahaha. (c) Kayla Wolden 2016

Aden actually use to be a pretty common name, meaning "fiery one" or "little fire".  I happen to be familiar with it because I considered using it as a pen name for writing poems and short stories when I was younger.  I can also make it with the first 3 letters of my middle name and the last letter of my last name

Cool! It's funny cuz Aden/Aiden has always been one of my favorite names, haha I spent a lot of time trying to find some way to jumble up my name into a name that would suit him and when I noticed the Aden thing I pretty much flipped out. XDD
