Spoilers to Samurai Jack's last season ahead, you've been warned!Ok so fanart to the worlds biggest mass murderer
big fan of Jack and I loved all the episodes, that said I'm still not sure if it shoulda been finished the way it was, all the characters we grew up with and loved, we saw Jack saving them and their families, friends and pups they are now gone, wiped out of existence cuz he got back and changed the future, I woulda loved him staying in the future and saving it from the ruler Aku.... so now Jack is a mass murderer, he killed his best friend's hundreds of daughters π, all the people and creatures he spent time saving, why save them all these episodes when you'll just wipe 'em off of existence in the end, counter productive in my book
oh well, anyway, this has been my rant with Jack ever since the end episode came to be, I held it close to the vest for so long, waiting to get an hour free to draw Jack...all in all it was a cool journey nonetheless, visually stunning.
I wanted him to stay with the beard on 'till the very end

You misunderstand the ending I think. Jack's sole mission has always been to travel back in time and kill Aku. By doing this, he is erasing him from history, and all his evil. Jacks biggest obstacle is his attachement to the timeline he has been living in, and the only way to fix it is to sacrifice all the history Aku has created, including all people he ever met. Lots of people disappeared, yes, but lots more were created because of this, and had way better lives.

I get that but still, I'm sticking to my opinion on it, and living isn't about living easier and better, it's about overcoming obstacles, we met all these awesome characters in the years with jack and now thanks to him they are all gone from existance, it's his fault

To be honest I think it's a case of interpretation. Remember that Jack lost his WIFE to this. They are aware that it isn't a clear victory, but that's the whole point. It's a question they are asking the audience. It's a personal question. Jack thought this was the right decision, but others could think differently.

That is the EXACT problem I had with the last season's story. He should have realized that by saving all of the people in his own world of the past, he would have to sacrifice all of the people in the world of the future - all of the people he'd met and helped, who were living lives of their own now. This would have made him just as much of a monster as Aku. So he sets aside his own emotions, stays in the future, and does the right thing. The twist of the show should have been that he never actually ends up going to the past. This could have had a deeper meaning, which the show was a fan of, about how to live your life.
(Also, they said in one of the old episodes, after Jack was defeated by that blue portal guardian, that Jack would return to the portal some day and be worthy, and you got to see a vision of him looking really different, with a beard and a shield and armour. That this would happenΒ was the only reason the guardian decides not to kill him. Then this never happens. Don't promise the audience something and then never do it. It's really lame.)

True, whats the point of saving anyone if your just wipe them all from existence from going back in time killing the bad guy who is the reason for there existence in the first place.

Or, you could say that he erased the cause of their misery. Without Aku, there would be a lot less of the slavery, cruelty and dangers that imperiled most of his allies' lives in that future world. By going back in time and destroying Aku, Jack gave them all a new shot at a future free of the demon's tyranny and a chance for happier and less dangerous lives.
