I agree with ~emeniux that the depth of field is too shallow. I looked up your camera and there's definitely a manual way to set DOF (what I found is that there's a button on the front that down steps the aperature or locks it, I'm not sure; the article's wording is weird). But the colours are wonderfully vibrant and I like the composition.

I see, but I haven't really had time to sit down and read about all the functions in the camera yet, so I apologize for the shallow DoF.

that is really beautiful. i love how it is fuzzy around the centre but had well defined petals/fingers.

Great macro shot!
Lovely composition and great colors.
However IMHO the DOF is quite shallow especially at the bottom of the 'fingers'. Try higher f-stops, you *might* get more details and overall sharper result.
That said, its still a great shot.

Thanks mate, I'm glad you enjoy it. And yes, the DoF is shallow, but that is because I haven't really figured out how this macro is working and it always turns out with a small DoF. Thanks anyway
