In WH42.5K, it's not just the Adeptus Mechanicus and Astartes making new toys to beautifully kill the enemies of Man. The regular people want a new toy. Created in conjunction with top members of the Astra Militarum and Navis Imperialis, the Annihilator Super Gunship. Taking the frame of a Marauder bomber and tripling it in size, you have a huge plane. It's got enough weapons on its side alone to take on a division of battle tanks and then some more. Armed in the front and back with turrets at the top and bottom, it's prepared to take on enemy interceptors, perform strafing runs, and wipe out all forms of enemy as long as air supremacy can be maintained by its escorts. It's so big that it has enough power to have its own void shields, allowing it to survive in enemy space even longer. There is also a bomber version, requiring the side guns to be taken out along with their munitions to create a bomber that can carry enough ordnances that can flatten an entire city. Or even become a torpedo bomber, the bomb bay housing a singular, massive missile designed to blow open starships. "Death from above" has a new representative.
