A birthday gift for Rember when I said in Akanbe Peridot I learn how to do Akanbe from SonicX (and pokemon). Well this is not what I was talking about, I was taking about when Sonic did it in the third episode, I forgot the context of why Amy doing it here
And no this is not the equivalent of the Middle Finger, it the equivalent off going "nah nah boo boo"

Akanbe, I never knew that gesture had a legitimate term before. I'll have to remember that. kinda odd tho that some view it similar to the middle finger. Also, it was in Episode 15, Skirmish in the Sky, when the gang tried to enjoy a shopping day, everyone can't give them space because they're basically celebs after helping to defeat Eggman. This was Amy's response to the crowds that couldn't follow them through the VIP room at the restaurant.

It's easy for me to remember what clips they use in opening sequences of my favorite television shows and what episodes they were taken from. In fact if i watched that show when I was 5, I'd probably be singing that verse every time Amy came out of the fitting room. Lol

Well I still can't forget "HOLD YOUR HORSES, YOU DOME-HEADED DONKEY!! WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO NAME ANYTHING AROUND HERE?!"
I prefer the JP more, I love some of 4KIDS VAs, especially Dan/Knuckles, Jason/Sonic&Shadow, Lisa/Amy, and Mike/Eggman, but if 4KIDS used the JP soundtrack, had similar dialogue (I'll take or leave the cuss words,) and had different voices for some of the other characters, it would've been a perfect dub.

I think Boom might've been a good way for us to get accustomed to the new voices. Like as I was playing Forces, I immediately thought of the show as they were talking via radio.

Well it more that Roger Craig Smith's Sonic just sound like he has way to big of an ego, no matter who he talking to
Thornton's Shadow's just sound way to much of an Edge lord instead of mysterious
and technically Orbot has had his voice actor changed at the same time the others wear
While I more of a fan of not reading subtitles all the time I will say that the JP on has alot of uncut scenes in it

I'll take it or leave it now. Junichi's Sonic has spoken rather highly of himself too, so it's not just a Roger thing. But that's why I love how Sonic will speak with confidence, but will give credit to his allies when and where due, like in Forces or X.
eh... Shadow I think I might still need getting used to in Boom. Don't get me wrong, I like Kirk Thornton, especially with his other roles, be it in Sonic or beyond. But I'll be honest, after hearing Orbot talk, with Shadow right after him, it was hard for me to differentiate, like Orbot trying to sound evil. That's if you wanna see the glass half-empty. But if you look at it half-full, it can be comparable to Mel Blanc and all the Looney Tunes he voiced in his career.
as for the Edge lord thingy, I think that's SEGA making full use of the memes showing up in the show.
oh yes! I actually don't mind reading the subtitles. I think the writing for the OJV does a much better job than the dub did. But that could be more due to the people in charge of dubbing admitting they knew nothing of Sonic or his world prior to taking on the task. And I know right? So many scenes that were removed just for the sake of saving time I think, if not having something the censors found too inappropriate. Sometimes it feels like the bar for what was safe was set pretty darn high.
