I like to think this is a minor set back for her and her father. Tetra comes back to collect the overdue payment form Maggie's Father, and I happen to slip Mila a few Knight's Crests which should be worth alot more then Skull Necklaces and the Deed to the Private Island
Ether that or Maggie's Father imprudent spending sending him back to the poor house and Maggie get eaten by a moblin
Think about it, how many Lottery winners actually are able to keep their wealth
The fact I keep smashing a few his pots and Maggie's father keeps letting me do it with out making me pay for them is prove of thatMila copyright of Nintendo

Other than the sliding puzzle game, the wilting tree, and the chart... there's really not much to do on that particular island. I wouldn't mind giving up the private oasis to Mila and her father after getting the chart to the Triumph Forks
As for Maggie and her father... the latter I wouldn't mind seeing begging for money and Moe did say he wanted to have Maggie for dinner
