OK It was not the end of the world for Bronys. I glad they did not write out Celestia and Luna something I fear (we need more Luna in the show) But now I have questions ; why are all the alicorns female? Sure Blueblood may not deserve wings (if we donβt listen to others head canon) but Shining Armor I think should have them. Are Ailicorns made not born or are they both made and born? If Alicorns are made, is that just because a unicorn has very powerful magic (Sun, Moon, Love, Friendship) therefor there are name royally to lead others. How dose Equestria government work (my guess is Celestia is the leaderand Luna is second in command, Candace maybe a governor of the empire and answers to Celestia because the empire is part of Equestria) What of a Fluttershy Dragon and the Octavia and Rarity duet we were told of? When will I get a Ponyta Pegasus and Alicorn evolutions? (Iβm fine if they just let Rapidash learn Psychic) At least this was going originally going to be a Three-part session finale so this story-arc not over yet and if we done like how it going they can have Discord take her wings

If you really think about it, Twilight already was kind of the princess of Ponyville.
Whenever there's a serious problem facing the town, who's the go to pony? Not the mayor! Nope, it's good ol' Twilight Sparkle.
As for the Alicorn thing... Well, I'm one of the few guys who thinks that perhaps, it's not that big of a deal to the ponies themselves. It's an obvious perk, yes, but so is eidetic memory.

I like to think that, in Twilight's case, "princess" is more of an honorary title than anything, not actually having any political power, and she received her alicorn body to show how powerful she really is.
Actually, the alicorn thing is only because Hasbro wanted a new toy, but my idea sucks less! (jk)

I thought the the make the episodes in show first and then they make the toys and release the toys to the public first. that how I think lego dose it most of the time with sets from movies

I'll admit that the only thing that I didn't like about Alicorn Twilight was her dress but the wings do make her look badass.

I think that the dress was ceremonial the other princesses don't usually were dress but they did for the coronation, I like the dress itself just because pony don't really were them but I can see how you think the wings are cool

Well, it is a matriarchal society, so perhaps Alicorns are only a female thing. Of course, come season four, they could make this thought no longer canon, but I am going to assume it won't be!
As for the other show ideas. I am guessing the pulled them back to the next season. Contrary to what other say this was a short season NOT because of the magic 65 episode syndication rule, but because of franchise reboots of Littlest Pet Shop and Carebears as well! (Also happened to Transformers.. but they are being re-done... again!)
All has to do with resource allocation, and money shifting (in business, we call this creative accounting.. wait, that is something else!) There are reason for doing what they are doing...

Well from what I can tell with TV they don't reboot show till a the original has been off the air or a few years. other times is the new show just continuing the story. I think the alicorn thing will still be canon even i they do take away her wings and I was guessing that the ideas in question were pull back for next season but I was on a roll
