Description
Commission piece. The characters belong to the guy who commissioned me, i.e. that Vincent Stone chap whose name is at the bottom (is it "whose" or "who's"? I never can tell...)Anyway, rather than draw "boring two girls posing" thing, I decided to do "old-photograph/portrait style two girls posing" thing. I quite enjoyed doing it, although I was feeling a bit daunted by the time I got around to shading so ended up doing it quite quickly and loosely (though I actually kinda like the way it turned out, so maybe that's a good thing?).
Uh... spent about a day on it, I guess. Probably a bit more, but it was Saturday and I took regular breaks (to play daft old games). Lines done in openCanvas, colours in Photoshop.
My Ris Paul Ric album arrived this morning, so that helped keep me sane when this picture was threatening otherwise :3

That's great. The girl's are gorgeous and well drawn, and the idea of elves in a victorian-style portrait (and suitable outfits, I love the redhead's gloves) works extremely well.

Guess I'm a bit late to comment on this since it was posted a while ago, but it's very pretty and clean! I love their expressions and the idea you had about the "old photo" look. But it's weird... not bad, just weird, but they look "disguised"... meaning that their wear lady dresses, but according to their faces, they dont seem like ladies at all! Like the fur and leather warrior type girls dressing up pretty just for a moment. I actually like it... like a wildcat with an umbrella. At least, that's the feeling I get seeing this.

You have a knack of making things look 3D Daniel, this piece especially. It is so well shaded, if you did it quickly, then you've obviously developed your style enough to make it so. Anyway, apart from Tomoko (I assume she is the one on our right, if not, that's the one I'm reffering to) having rather warped and odd hands, everything else in this is great, it's a really nice picture.

Old fashioned photos are really nifty. I wish people did more of them.
In case you still want to know, in that case it's "whose." "Whose" is possessive (9 times out of 10--I think there are instance where it isn't, but can't come up with them), and "who's" is a contraction of "who" and "is" so you would use that where appropriate. When debating the use of a contraction, just say the contraction out in your head. If "who is" makes sense in the sentence, then you can use the contraction. If it doesn't make sense, don't. What kills me is "who" and "whom."
