I got my current tablet about 4 or 5 years ago. It's an intuos 2, A4 size and has lasted absolutely fine (hope I don't jinx it by saying that), so it was definitely a good investment. However, over the course of the years, it's got a bit worn down. It has a worrying crack in the middle but seems to work okay despite that; more troublesome was the transparent mat, which had worn pretty thin in the centre and consequently made the pen nibs get worn down quicker too... and because the pen nibs would get worn into quite harsh, sharp shapes, they'd tear the mat up more, so it was all a bit of a vicious cycle. Anyway, the point of this story is that I finally ordered some replacement parts after needing them for a while, and spent a bit of time playing around testing it out thereafter...

Deviating from my total Mittens obsession, I felt the urge to draw something involving uniform. At some point while working on the pose and stuff I figured I'd try to make it into Hope, but since I've been goofing around with style a bit lately it's debatable as to how good a likeness it actually is. I dunno. I kinda like the face regardless anyway, so I won't complain.

And, speaking of goofing around, I then proceeded to shade and colour the thing a bit haphazardly, just to try something quick and newish. As far as I'm concerned, the jury's still out on whether it was much of a success, but hey - decide for yourself!
