Oh I adore so much these dark pictures of yours.
The light is so dim but you can still see just what you are suppose to. The colors just blend so well together.
It doesn't look like you just threw some face over a black backround, it really looks like you are just trying to figure out shapes that stand right in front of you in darkness.
That little glimpse of light reflecting in his eye is spot on, when you color these do you paint them on black backround or do you add it later?Β
Also I must say that I love your eye to the details, like the light I just mentioned, and that fly. It gives that eerie feeling to all of this. He looks like a corpse in a some way. His eyesΒ and mouth lazily open.
I just imagine that he has lost hope, he doesn't care anymore about anything, and the fly on his lips represent that in a some way. He is dead inside. And where is rotting coprses, there are flies.
Gosh I'm sorry for rambling or looking too much into it... Keep up the great work as always~

For the darker pictures I usually start on a black background and build up the lighting from there.Β
