Be very careful with lighting especially with white cats. With the current lighting, a large portion of the cat is overexposed so there's no detail and simply a white blob while the rest of the cat is slightly underexposed and dark. A good way to soften your light is to use some type of diffuser. If it's a flash, I sometimes just cover it with paper. If a window, sheer curtains actually make great diffusers. Or I suppose the easiest solution is to just move out from the direct light XD.

In my opinion, white cats look really beautiful in high key lighting. I'm sure you can find more information about high key lighting on google, etc. For the most part, you can achieve a high key "look" at least by just using very even lighting with the white cat on a white background, then increasing midtones to brighten the overall image in post editing. So beautiful. S/he looks just like my baby Jazz but with a green color and not the same shade of blue for the eyes.
