I agree with you. I like the more traditional design where he's more mystical than tech based. However, since this incarnation is associated with Iron Man it would make more sense that he'd be tech based. If it was Shang Chi Mandarin or even Iron Fist or something, then the more traditional version would make more sense. I was thinking of redesigning him in the future.Β

i always thought the terracota warlord mandarin was the best design and the way they should go without the old yellow peril controversy that surrounded the original character, great design as usual, oh have you ever considered doing your own design of Silver Sable?

Thanks! Just trying to keep it modern and in a way that would make sense in the Iron man tech based villains roster. Silver Sable is not on my current radar at the moment, only cause I wanna focus on more main stream characters, but I'm always open to adding more to the ever growing roster especially since she's slowly gaining more popularity recently.

that's good, really wish Silver Sable was more popular and had more art that wasn't weirdo fetish crap,still i understand with starting with the more iconic characters then focusing on the more obscure ones, plus i've always wondered why people consider Sable a villain when she's more of a heroic mercenary that first opposes Spider-man like pretty much everyone he meetsΒ

I assume you got inspiration from the "Iron Man Armored Adventures" series. Did you find the portrayal of the Mandarin in the "Iron Man 3" movie a disappointment?

Mostly, but I took bits and pieces from various sources. I wouldn't say disappointed, just not what I was expecting.
