Description
Another one of these fast painting things. Long time no upload so i figured i should try something out. After working a few hours on a different drawing, I drew this out of frustration/ boredom, and it ended out turning much better than the other one.One of my old Scifi soldiers. Haven't drawn them in a while. Took me about an hour, hour in a half, but i still tried staying as loose and fast as possible. Critiques and comments are always welcome.

Very slowly reading Rise and fall of the Third Reich and playing Wolfenstein a new order. I'm also taking a course on the Cold War it's not as fun as it sounds (all red dawn references came from me). How about you did you get into another Algonquin program?

I can just picture you in the back of the room saying all these references. Too cool for school and all. Actually, if you haven't seen it yet, I recommend you watch the movie "The Battle of Britain". The acting is a little cheesy, but the air battles are cool. And hitler makes an appearance (not the real one of course)
Yeah, going into animation proper this september. Was also accepted into concept art, but the acceptance came in after i picked animation.

Maybe talk to someone at the school, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to switch with acceptance to both programs. That is assuming you really want concept art.
Oh jeez reading Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, it's slow read but the author makes it interesting. I'm finding my history courses left out a lot about the story line of the Nazis themselves, and I'm only at the part were Hitler is sworn in as chancellor. The emphasis is on cultural themes in history courses these days, though it leaves little to be desired for context to those themes.
The Battle of Britain sounds interesting. I have a soft spot for cheesy movies on occasion. LOL Hitler as a selling point. It would be funny if they raised Hitler from the dead to act in a movie.

It's alright. I'll just go ahead with it.
I know. It's strange how a lot of sources say "Nazis were the bad guys" which is true, but they don't really go into the events that shaped the party, or the causes for their actions. Overall, are you enjoying your course?
Fun facts about the movie, it's the first war movie made after WW2 to use people who speak German for German roles. Also, all the planes used are real. minus the mock ups that are blown up.
I think you'll find there'd be quite an uproar if anyone chose to resurrect him.

I watched the battle of Britain. Your right the aerial battles are awesome. I shocked me that Britain was the first to strike a civilian target. Oi And Hitler's retaliation was over the top to his detriment. Stick to strategic targets. Oh I dunno much about Hitler's strategic style but i'm sensing this is a trend. It was funny they played the same song every time the Nazis got screen time. It's neat that they used Germans in German roles, though I wonder what the German public thought of that.
I'm in a cultural history course on the Cold War. It's an accelerated course and leaves much to be desired for cool cold war stuff. I'm happy to be close to the end of my history degree, I'll be done in August. I watched Germany win the world cup for the first time since re-unification, it was awesome.
No one could resurrect him unless they find his body, the skull the Russians had was later found to be a woman.

Yeah Hitler had some pretty about face and over the top strategies. Bomb berlin once? Bomb London for weeks. Fail to neutralize british air force in preparation for invasion of England? Attack Russia. Sometimes you have to wonder, if he hadn't made so many ego driven mistake, would the Allied powers have won WW2?
Hey cool. You took a course in the time it took me to do... nothing at all.
Actually, i watched a documentary on a whole bunch of allied assassination/ sabotage plans against Hitler. At one point, they considered spraying chemicals (some kind of estrogen on crack) in his garden to transform him into a woman. No joke. Maybe they went ahead with this, and it ended up working. Mystery solved!
Seriously, wonder if that documentary could be believed. other plans involved releasing poisonous snakes in Berlin and training birds to be suicide bombers.

I have the Hitler documentary your talking somewhere but I don't remember what it's called. If you like that there is a documentary called "High Hitler" on youtube about his drug habits and his bad doctor. Man he should'a just drank beer like normal people.
Oh man you think Hitler's assassination stuff is crazy. Fidel Castro had 638 confirmed attempts on his life, whereas Hitler only had 42. that documentary isn't called 42 two ways to kill Hitler is it? Fidel Castro met with Vladimir Putin the other day. I only know that because I checked if he was still alive. lol well he is getting on in years. I have a book somewhere called "638 ways to kill Castro", never read it though i would like to one day.

Yeah i knew about that. Must have had a pretty good intelligence agency to counter all those assassination attempts. Or he was just incredibly lucky. or both maybe.
Oh man. Why do i picture Castro as some kind of RoboCop with Vladimir as his sidekick?

Part of the Castro situation was that the CIA and various other governments that tried to kill him. They wanted to do it in such a way that the evidence wouldn't return back them. Sometimes they'd back out at the very last second if they knew the evidence would come back to them.
Personally I could see Putin riding a bear without his shirt on swimming to Cuba to meet with Castro rebuilt by the Cuban medical system. We can rebuild him we have the technology. Don't tell the Americans or we'll have Cuban Missile crisis mark II.

Yeah true. True on both accounts.
As much as I'd love to see a cyberman Castro, I have to err on the side of caution and say I hope it never happens.
Crime fighting duo Cyber Castro 000512 and Vladimir 'bear abs' Putin.
