A rather quick portrait painting i did not long ago, focusing on dark mood, concept and colours and trying out the techniques and theories i've learned from traditional/fine art style~ Dark knight~ a type of this malevolent class but he's those weaker, still human-kind of warriors,i kinda like how his face turns out-it suits their type,scheming,sly,yet stil with a dash of hope. I have a few darker , more powerfful versions in my head... hope u guys like!~

From the tone, it reminds me of oil pastels on black canvas. Nice execution and illustration style with this. The only thing I see is the unfinished bottom right side, but since this is a quick sketch, I suppose that isn't anything to worry about. Nice

Well for a crit, all I'd do is finish the edges up, and detail out a few points you may want to draw attention to, like his eyes for example. His ax still has a few too many sketch marks, adding a light blending to its colors and going over it with some detailed marks (like adding battel scratches or stains) could make it look a bit more interesting. Other that that, I think Its pretty neat.

dude! this guy seriously reminds me of one of the soldiers form "Antz"! the armor is insectoid looking and his face has the same proportions, expression and color as the ants. verra cool

hi there!~sure i love to answer- i started tis image as a low key~very dark base for everythin relli~and my highlights never go beyond a limit~i used e illusion of drawing interest to the face by making tat area the most saturated and lighted~and for e back~i used colors from e char to apply, make the whole pic harmonize~thus e result~

I am so mad though....I tried to make a dragon pic as best as i could...kind of using that dark technique...and..well..I don't like it...it doesn't look how I wanted it too! and i hate constructive criticism...it just hurts my feelings cuz I worked sooooooo long on this...it's in my gallery entitle All Hell Breaks Loose if you wanna see it.

The axe doesn't look convincing, but i have to say, i like his face. May look a little geeky, but it has that arrogance i'm so fond of in a badguy-character
