It's a very long running game franchise. The concept of "dead hands" aren't really anything new. Actually in that game I think they had the Infinity Hands and the Dead Hand

It's the White Walkers! They've breached the Wall and have invaded King's Landing. This painting is wicked awesome. I can see this being the cover of a D&D Guide to the Undead but I couldn't help but think Game of Thrones instead.
