The Fearsome and Cunning DreadLord~[link]
Honorable and Mighty Bane Master~[link]
The Graceful and Deadly Zephyons
In all the lands of Vampra, none is as graceful and speedy as the Zephyons of the Vampires. Possessing distinct feline bodies and sporting wings from young, females vampires are nurtured into one of the House’s elite classes. Zephyons’ societies are an interestin and unique culture, inhabiting the top nestled homes and spires. Aloof and mysterious, but not cynical like the dreadlords, Zephyons serve as scouts, transporters and most of all, deadly combatants of House Vampra. They are blessed with extraordinary quickness, and a plethora of strange natural ablities- such as being able to spawn dark smoke, from their flight, capable of disorientating and confusing enitre armies. Zephyons are like the druids of Vampra, bonding closely with animals, creating great creatures “touched” by the flames of Vampra.
These creatures are referred to as the Horde of Vagran’s, seemingly mutated and stronger specimens of their former selves.
The Horde of Vagran’s respond strongly to the Call of the Zephyons, serving them as companions, and in most cases, weapons of war. Besides their natural formidable allies, Zephyons are living arsenals of weapons themselves. They pride themselves in meticulously crafted armor of enchanted darksteel, and wield special sentient blades which whirl around them, seeking the flesh of enemies in battle. Zephyons love to conceal their identities for some reason, and their helmets or masks often cover parts of their face.Zephyons do not need to see, as they can sense everything around them in a special way, lending acute awareness to their credit. They use this ability to "see"the energies within each single soul; of their potential threat or prowess in auras, this ability makes them powerful hunters able to take down the greatest threat among adversaries.
The fighting style of the Zephyons is an awesome dance of death as they swoop down from skies, whirling as they dive themselves violently-to the midst of enemies- to catastrophic devastation, sending blades slicing and body parts splitting away. After which they will relish the sight of their marvelous handiwork as they soar to the air again.
Humans often scramble away in panic, when they see the sight of one furiously “charging” Zephyon, only to be consumed by the utter darkness of despair and confusion caused by the aftermath of their flights. And if the dive was not enough to take all of them out, they will soon take each other down as the cloud of confusion and madness engulf them all.
However, Zephyons are not without equals in combat, their main nemesis include the Avian Guardians, winged creatures of the Light the Zephyons called Halfbloods. Avian Guardians are exceptional archers, even in air, and the most powerful of them throw spears to powerful effect. Zephyons Warleaders also have to watch out for the deadly combination of archers and supporting wizards, who can slow them for their troops to fire at the flying terror. The Zephyons pay the Hawkmen no heed, they consider themselves superior in combat, and rightly so, for the spear wielders of the air cannot withstand barrages of attacks from their deadly claws and magical weapons.
Zephyons enjoy the thrill of combat, and teasing enemies before dropping the full package of pain. They relinquish the ability of flight, taking victims and blasting into the air to drain away their lifeforce and hurling them as missiles back to the land-bound adversaries to mock them utterly.
Looks can be deceiving, and that applies to the strength of the Zephyons for they can lift even three ogres into the air- one hooked by any of the sentient blades each, to be used as meat bombs if they so choose. Indeed, among all the vampire classes, none are as witty and resourceful as the Zephyons- the flying terrors of the skies.

I love it, another great piece indeed. But the only thing that bothers me is all the armor is very crisp and detailed, except her leg cuffs, which come off a bit blurry. Still a fav for sure

Yea, I see what it is too. The metal is dull looking, and the shadows aren't as finely done as the other pieces of armor. So it comes off more as part of the body then actual armor. But still, I look at his piece all the time during the day. It makes me happy
I just got my wacom tablet and am getting alot better at airbrushing. Your style is my favorite out of everything.. So it kinda influences me when I make stuff. I'll give ya a heads up when I submit my first real piece.

his peice is mighty impressive, The use of color is just stunning and the exquisite details just keep you looking for more.
All the movement from the clif face in the lower right up the buildings through the clouds around down to her feet, keeps moving your eye back to the central Zephyon no matter where you look.
I like the way you lit the smoke but it seems to diffuse a litle too fast.
The chained weponry is a nice touch, and the way the light emited from the ground eluminates the foreground figures is simply spectacular.
What ever effect you used to make the glow about her hands is inconsistant since the hand on the right does not have the glow going all the way down to her claw tips like the hand on the left.
The outfit is very interesting and her helmet gets me wishing i wasn't limited by pixels on how close i could look.
Her wings realy throw the peice for me they seem more shody then the rest of it. The way they are posed almost seems to inply a silent howl but the on ein the background whips up at the end disrupting that.
Her animal companion brings empehsis to the feral element of the painting and realy seems to connect the bats in the backgroud to the main figure for me. Yet its front paw[claw/(w/e)] seems marviously detached from the rest fo the peice for some reason, perhaps is it was digging in to the ground slightly? Also its tail seems to be oddly shadowed at the base.
The flying things in the background on the right are a good touch and all seem to be pointing to the main figure. which is good for the emphasis of the central element. One of the buildings near her knee seems like its wall was pinted over, and is kinda out of place in consideration that non of th eother buildings are in the slightest degraded.
I love the lighting for this peice.
hope that was a helpfull critque~

Incredible work, great detail believable character. Love the pose, and the background work is fantastic, just the right level of detail, fade, and blur to make this piece top notch.

She is breathtaking and stunning, and the colors add such an elegance to her. Everytime I thought I had seen everything, another new detail would jump out at me. Your art is very good at doing that.
Her armor is fantastic, and the dog beside her only heightens the feral look to her. The background alone has such a depth to it, and then she just clinches the whole scene and locks the viewer in.
Anything I can think of to mention for improvement is outweighed a hundred times by the perfect parts. But blind praise isn't always fun.
The wings on everything could be a little more translucent, just letting some more light in through the skin. Depending on what her armor is made of, it shouldn't tuck in so deep beneath her breast; there would be some curve to it, but right now it almost looks like her breast is entirely different from her chest.
There's also a little something off about how her hands are held. Since our limbs work in opposition (right hand moving with left leg, and left hand with right leg) she certainly doesn't look like she's just finished a walk at the cliff edge. If her right hand were also behind her, I think it could add the look of a howling warrior. But that's just my opinion on that.
Honestly, even if you change nothing, this piece is very awesome. I don't know why I didn't think about this sooner, but you should really think about entering [link] Your work is damn good, and I think this would be a chance to really let a lot of people see HOW good it is.
