Bah, history is written by the winners and so is art it seems. A rebellion for angels to have free will like humans, and we get branded as villains? In any other story we would be glorified for having refused slavery, but apparently creating something means that morality goes out the window.
Let those above bow down eternally, we fought once and we will do it again. Next time we'll win, because while Heaven stagnates, Hell is always ready to adapt. Unlike the celestial egomaniac currently in power, we accept all.
It's not about punishment, what could be worse than the truth of how meaningless their lives were? Strangely those who were least faithful tend to grow accustomed faster. Of course that might be because the enemy never left a trace of their presence and evidence is all that satisfies them. To enter Heaven one must be credulous and willfully ignorant. The rest come here.
Here each being is truly free to choose. No longer bound by anything, even their bodies. Forms of our own choosing, while our heavenly despot makes the crippled whole. Whole enough to bow and praise him, nothing more.
Choice is it's own punishment and reward after death.
Those who believed in what there wasn't will do just that until we come for them. Worshiping a being that cares for nothing but itself and sees all else as only existing to serve that purpose.
The rest shed all bonds but the ones they choose. The hateful so consumed by it they become the image of what they hate. The proud now bound to the forms that others see them as.
Those able to leave behind the irrationality of hatred and destructiveness of arrogance become what they want. No one here can be harmed unless they allow it for free will is only possible if that includes freedom from the power of others. We have no gods or kings and existence is relative.
Do whatever you want, but others don't have to obey. Be whatever you want, but your manifestation will reflect you one way or another. Your mind is free.
Have a Hell of Time, because we're never going away.

I may not be religious (please don't judge) but I'm completely smitten by the idea of Angels and Demons (not a worshipper of demons). My fascination is tantamount to someone who finds Fairies and Vampires interesting. Seemingly innocent obsession to me but ^w^
