There is a fanfiction called "Rouge Fox Armageddon Soul", in it Fox becomes depressed after Krystal joins Starwolf and Starfox falls apart around him. He deceides he doesn't want to live anymore, but he doesn't want to die ether. His solution is to trick the world into thinking that he died, while he takes on a new name, "Syxx". Β He dies his coat and enters a secret milatary program, out of which only half of the people who enter are expected to survive.
I won't tell you more because if you decide to read the story I don't want to spoil it for you.Β I suppose that Syxx could be called a fan character if you really wanted to, I just don't see him as one as he is really just Fox McCloud.
