Boy howdy has it been a long time since I last drew something... the last post was that simple and honestly pretty bad Ankha fanart and then...absolutely zip for weeks. In truth, life hasn't been very good. Between my job being an absolute nightmare and school grinding me down, my motivation to draw anything has been almost nonexistent, leading to huge sinks into the pit of depression for days at a time before finally being dragged back out of it. But after so long, inspiration has struck again, weirdly from the popular MOBA shooter Paladins of all places (kudos to Shepherd82 and rock_Legacy for getting me into it), so what better way to get back into drawing with a HEAVY redesign of my avatar and persona, Chisel Steelshot?

Since we last saw him in his basic Ironside armor, Chisel's suit has been heavily upgraded into a wearable tank somewhere between power armor and a war golem, intended to be a prototype to eventually supplant the current series of pneumatic armor worn by the Legion Storm Troopers. Apart from acquiring a bigger battle suit that now incorporates storage for his tools in the field and a set of short-ranged booster valves built into the boiler and furnace, Chisel's arsenal has been upgraded from a standard shotgun and large wrench to a steam-driven chain ripper and M14-HE "Thumper" repeating handgun. Unlike the M13 "Bolter," this monster fires large slugs with a small explosive charge for breaching thicker enemy armor and causing severe damage to crew or soldiers within, and it can be fired in semi- or full-auto for maximum devastation on the battlefield. Here, Chisel leads the charge as he charges across No Man's Land through barbed wire fences, clearing a path alongside the rest of his forward battallion to make the way for the other Legion soldiers currently hunkered down in the trenches further away.
