Description
An example of traditional field medicine amongst the ranks of the Last Legion. Catkin such as Kitty LeChat here are frequently employed as forward scouts, snipers, and field medics with their fast reflexes and balance making them ideal for sprinting across the battlefield to help those in need. Since Kitty's attached to the Ironside Corps, she wears a suit of their traditional heavy clockwork-augmented armor, and makes up for her hindered speed by carrying a shield and scattergun for plowing her way forward towards her patients. Most of the lads would prefer one of the typical Catkin nurses to tend to their wounds instead of the Iron Maiden, but when your arm's been blown off with a cannon shell, you take what you can get.
(Weird note: Kitty's initial appearance was based on the Nomad Daktari model from the Infinity game, which evolved to become the basic Catkin field medic design. She gained her armor and weapons after a particularly nasty incident when she was first assigned to the Ironsides. Basically she snapped after patching up so many of her comrades following an Imperial gas strike, stole a suit of armor and scattergun, and marched out onto the battlefield herself, inadvertently spurring on the rest of her unit to follow and push through the enemy lines. Last Legion command was about to have her discharged then and there, but Warmaster Drougan and the rest of her unit from that night persuaded the brass to give her a second chance, albeit with a grain of suspicion.)
