A friend commissioned me to draw Alpha Toothless as a Christmas present this year. Here's the final result!

And before anyone throws fits about Toothless flying without Hiccup, in the Dreamworks Christmas special "Gift of the Night Fury," Hiccup designs a tail piece that allowed Toothless to fly on his own. So, it's technically canon. Sure, Toothless destroys the tail piece at the end, but who's to say Hiccup didn't build him another one later?

Drawn with prismacolor col-erase no-photo blue pencil on 9 x 12" smooth bristol, inked with a pentel stylio pen, and colored with prismacolor pencils.
