I saw this on a news feed within my messages, another devaint had critiqued it and it caught my eye!!
I really like the way the blurred daisies bring the eye towards the focused one to the left. It has a very relaxed feel to it however one can tell that a lot of consideration went into the photograph. The daisies' white contrasts against the dark of the background well and indeed the name 'Fire' suits this piece down to the ground!!
I cannot see anything here to comment negatiely about =] If this was for sale i'd happily buy it...VERY well done!

This hooked me from the get-go. Although the colours are strong and fairly constant throughout, they are bold and striking. This is one of the interesting things of the piece; the content and colours create a mild contrast. We have a picture showing small delicate flowers that often remind us of days spent in the garden on a summers day, but hit with a strong ocre that throws fire into the eyes of the viewer.
It's this contrast I think that is mainly going to determine whether the piece is received well, or poorly, by the viewer. It's a difficult decision determining if it works or not. It can't be denied that it is powerful but I can't help feeling a wave of confusion settle over me as I continue to look at it full size.
In conclusion, possibly not the most original piece out there but it delivers the punch needed to wet our curiosity.

Hi! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

I realy feel i need to criticize this work. Why?
Because i realy like it. Colours are so hot, that i realy can not imagine other title for this work. I realy like how the colours geting darker and darker on one side and brighter on the other. It realy makes picture look cool. I do not know what you have done with your focus... but i do not like the blured flower. It somehow distracts my eyes. But i think this is the only thing i do not like on this work!
Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your critique
That thing with the focus is something that bothers me too
Well...it was kinda tricky to get this little flower in focus. On that day it was very windy and I take some snapshots with my 50mm/1.8...and with that apeture it was difficult to get it into right focus.

I must say...it's a realy interesting style and also unusual.

Very interesting - with your photographs do you often go into Photoshop to touch them up digitally? Or do you use filters instead?
